Mareeba Shire Council

Mareeba Shire Council, a diverse and vibrant region on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland, sought to promote the Davies Creek Mountain Bike Park — a network of trails nestled on the Lamb Range between Mareeba and Kuranda. Aiming to attract mountain biking enthusiasts and boost adventure tourism, they required compelling visual content that captured the essence of the park.

To achieve this, we captured dynamic photo and video footage during the 2022 Reef to Reef event, a prominent mountain biking race that showcases the park's challenging trails and stunning scenery. By immersing ourselves in the event, we were able to highlight the exhilaration and natural beauty that make Davies Creek a must-visit destination for riders.

The resulting content was used to create engaging social media promotions, effectively showcasing the park to a wider audience of mountain biking enthusiasts. The combination of ground-level action shots and sweeping drone footage provided a comprehensive view of the trails' excitement and the surrounding landscape.

This approach not only supported Mareeba Shire Council's goal of increasing visitation to the park but also demonstrated the power of high-quality visual storytelling in capturing the spirit of outdoor sports. By effectively highlighting Davies Creek Mountain Bike Park, the project contributed to the growth of adventure tourism in the region and showcased our capability to capture dynamic sports events.
