Copperlode Brewing Co. sought a brand identity that paid homage to its namesake dam, Cairns’ primary water source, while evoking a rugged yet inviting feel suitable for a brewery venue. Their water, drawn from Copperlode Dam, is a key ingredient they claim sets their beers apart, so the visuals needed to highlight this distinctive selling point.
To achieve this, we created a hand-drawn, stylised rendition of Copperlode Dam as the brand’s focal point. The copper colour, referencing both the dam’s name and an industrial vibe, informed the overall aesthetic. This guided everything from the grunge-inspired interior design elements to packaging and signage.

Building on the copper-toned, grunge-industrial palette, we crafted custom tap labels for each beer variety. Each design incorporates its own playful imagery, like a speeding boat or local wildlife, tying all products together under one unified brand while allowing each brew’s personality to shine.
