JCU Datathon

Capturing Innovation at JCU's Inaugural Datathon

A 3-day event showcasing collaborative problem-solving at James Cook University.

James Cook University (JCU), a leading Australian institution, hosted its first Northern Australian Indigenous Datathon at the state-of-the-art Ideas Lab in Cairns. The event brought together diverse groups to build technology solutions addressing real-world challenges.

Bang Media’s team was tasked with capturing the event’s key moments, including keynote speeches, group presentations, and interviews with participants. Our videographers created an engaging highlights reel to promote the event to future participants and sponsors.

We were honoured to be invited back to film the event again the following year.

Showcasing Collaborative Innovation Through Film

Our team captured the energy and creativity of JCU’s Datathon, bringing their event to life through compelling video content.

The 3-day event at JCU’s Ideas Lab required extensive coverage, from speeches to group work. Our videographers worked closely with JCU to ensure all key elements were captured, resulting in a dynamic event video that highlighted the importance of innovation and collaboration.

This video has been used by JCU to promote the Datathon to future participants and sponsors, successfully showcasing the impact and importance of the event.
