Something I didn't plan for when we started running AI workshops for businesses: how much I'd enjoy them.
I've spent 20 years working on brands from the outside. Sitting across the table. Getting briefed. Going away and making things. The workshop format is different. You're in the room when the realisation happens.
In a recent session I watched a business owner stop mid-sentence and say "wait, this could just do my whole Monday morning" while we were building an email workflow together. That's the moment. Not the theory. Not the slideware. The moment someone sees exactly how this fits their business.

That moment is why we run AI training in Cairns, and it's why I'm writing this.
Most business owners in Far North Queensland have heard plenty about AI. Fewer have used it beyond typing a question into a chatbot and getting a mediocre answer back. There's a real gap between knowing AI exists and knowing what to do with it on a Tuesday morning when you've got quotes to send, an inbox at 200 unread and a team asking questions.
Online courses give you theory you'll forget by Friday. Our workshops put your actual business problems on the table and solve them with the tools open in front of you.
This is the question every workshop starts with, so here's the honest answer. These are the areas where we see the biggest time savings for local businesses:
Email management. AI can triage your inbox, draft replies in your tone, summarise long threads and flag what genuinely needs you. For most owners this alone wins back an hour a day.
Quotes and invoices. Turn a voice note from a site visit into a formatted quote. Chase overdue invoices with follow-ups that sound like you wrote them. Pull job details straight into your accounting software instead of retyping them.
An AI agent as your business development manager. This is the one that surprises people. An AI agent can research prospects, prepare briefing notes before meetings, draft outreach, follow up leads and keep your pipeline moving. It doesn't replace the relationship. It does the legwork so you show up prepared.
Dashboards and reporting. Feed AI your sales data, ad performance or job numbers and get a plain-English summary of what's working and what isn't. No more staring at spreadsheets on a Sunday night trying to work out how the month went.
Meeting notes and follow-through. Record the meeting, get the summary, get the action items, get the follow-up email drafted. Nothing falls through the cracks because nobody wrote it down.
Documenting how your business runs. Talk through a process once and AI turns it into an SOP. Suddenly training new staff doesn't depend on your busiest person finding a spare afternoon.
None of this is future talk. Every example above is something we do inside our own agency every day.
Every session is shaped around the business in the room, but the format looks like this:
We start with your real work, not hypotheticals. Bring the inbox that's out of control, the quoting process that eats your evenings, the reporting you keep putting off. We work on those.
We build alongside you. Prompts, workflows and simple systems your team can reuse the next day. You leave with things running, not a folder of notes.
We answer the awkward questions honestly. What about accuracy? What about client confidentiality? What should stay human? We use these tools daily, so we know where the edges are and we'll tell you straight.
Bang Media is a certified Claude partner, alongside our Google and Meta partnerships. That matters for two reasons. First, we're not teaching from YouTube tutorials. We work with these platforms directly and build with them for clients and for ourselves. Second, we can help you choose the right tool for the job rather than pushing whatever's trending, because a plumber's business and a resort's business shouldn't be running the same setup.
Owners who suspect they're leaving hours on the table every week. Admin teams drowning in repetitive work. Marketing coordinators doing the job of three people. And businesses that tried AI, got underwhelming results and decided it's overhyped. That last group has the biggest breakthroughs, because the problem was never the tools.
You don't need technical staff. If your team can use email, they can do this.
We run sessions from our studio in Cairns North or at your workplace, whichever gets the right people in the room.
If you or a business you work at would be interested in us running an AI workshop for you, get in touch and we can tailor a workshop to your needs.
