ENABLING PATHWAYS
REBRAND

In crafting the logo and branding guide for Enabling Pathways, we embraced the challenge of visually capturing a business specialising in disability support, NDIS, youth work, and community support. This project holds a special place as one of our favourites, as we distilled the essence of Enabling Pathways into a visual identity that resonates with its diverse audience. From warm colour palettes to symbolic elements, the resulting logo embodies the organisation’s commitment to empowerment and inclusivity.

About the Project

The Client

Enabling Pathways are a community-based organisation based in Far North Queensland that provides client-centred support for participants with a disability, facing homelessness, and youth support.

The brief for this project was to implement the feel of Australian nature while keeping the colours muted and calming. The logo is a nod to indigenous-inspired forms of art, avoiding any straight lines and over-played iconography of the region.

This project began with a Discovery Session where all ideas were laid on the table with the client and the target audience was established. Our team then got to work with developing 3 unique Stylescapes, which then directed the remainder of the project. The final logo selected pays homage to the Australian outback with muted colours and smooth lines.

Discovery & Stylescapes

After the initial discovery session, where we broke down the dynamics and goals of the newly established Enabling Pathways, we presented 3 Stylescapes. These Stylescapes act as an advanced mood board to portray the look and feel of the brand before the initial logo and branding guide designing has commenced. After deliberation, option 3 was selected with minor tweaks, and the brand fundamentals were built.

The Logo

It was essential for Enabling Pathways to have a logo that represented the cultural and rural aspects of their business, and be approachable. With this in mind, inspiration for the colour palette was drawn from earthy, Australian tones and smooth, abstract shapes. A logo that could be used in whole or stand-alone with just the ‘EP’ logomark and still be recognisable was an important factor to include in this logo design.

Secondary Logos for Divisions

Enabling Pathways consists of 3 separate divisions: Care, Youth and Community. We crafted 3 secondary logos to coexist with the overarching ‘Enabling Pathways’ brand- but could differentiate the 3 branching sectors.

Individual Brand Patterns

From the above icons and the initial logo colours, we created 4 patterns to distinguish the different sectors. These are used in the website on appropriate pages, and over marketing and internal materials to divide the services and make it apparent which is which quickly.
