With international traveller grinding to a halt, and domestic travel severely restricted, the tourism industry has been suffering more than most. Today the Queensland Government is launching the International Tourism Adaption Grant to help tourism operators:

  • Pivot their product, service and/or marketing to a domestic tourism market.
  • Meet operating costs while the business hibernates until international markets reopen.

Grant amounts and eligibility

The grants range from a minimum of $2000 to a maximum of $10,000 (excluding GST).

To be eligible your business needs to:

  • Be able to demonstrate losses of income due to international travel restrictions.
  • Have a headquarters in Queensland.
  • Primarily operate outside of south-east Queensland.
  • Have an annual pre-pandemic turnover of $75,000 and over.
